* This setup needs to be done either on campus or through VPN. If you are working remotely, please enable VPN first before udertaking this process.
* Make sure you save all your files beforehand. Your computer will restart during this process.
* This process will take about 10 minutes.
Step 1.
Scroll down to the bottom of this page to locate 'run.bat' file and double click.
On the top right of your screen click on the download icon > double click on 'run.bat'.
click on 'More info'
click on 'Run anyway'
Step 2.
If you see the black script screen please be patient. It will take about 5 - 10 minutes to automtatically close depending on the speed of your internet.
Click 'Yes' on Symantec Setup Stub
Step 3.
You will see a blinking shield icon on the bottom Windows bar > Click on it.
Click on 'Yes' on Symantec CMC SylinkDrop
Step 4.
If you see this notification pop up on the bottom right corner of your screen during the installation process you can click on dismiss.
Step 5.
Allow it to install. Your laptop will restart shortly.
Step 6.
Go to the bottom right and locate the carrot > locate Symantec Endpoint Protection sheild icon and double click.
Step 7.
Click 'Yes' on Symantec Endpoint Protection.
Your window should display the banner stating that 'Your computer is protected' with a green check mark next to it.
If the banner is Yellow pleaase run the LiveUpdate option and close it out and open it again.
