Good news for those of you wanting to access ND files and programs from home. Cisco AnyConnect allows you to see your files in R and H drivers as if you were on campus.
To use the AnyConnect, you will first need to download and install the program.
- AnyConnect should only be installed and used on NDSJ laptops, not personal computers
- Only 100 users at a time can use AnyConnect at one time
Step 1: Download and install the VPN Program (this step is only done the first time you set up the VPN)
1. Download the AnyConnect.msi which is attached below
2. Double click on the downloaded file to start the installation
Step 2: Directions for Opening and Using Anyconnect: (day to day use):
1. Once AnyConnect is installed, click on the Windows icon at the bottom left corner and type Cisco. Then click Open
2. Right click and select Pin to taskbar to add a shortcut to your desktop or pin to your taskbar for easy access
3. In the "Connect to:" box enter: ssl.ndsj.org
4. Enter the username and password that is used to login your laptop
5. Click Connect
You will now be connected to the NDSJ network, and be able to use the ND network drives.
